MITCH LASKY
Chairman of the Board
Mitch Lasky has spent more than two decades in the mobile gaming, new media and interactive entertainment business. Prior to joining Benchmark Capital, Mitch served as executive vice president of Mobile and Online at Electronic Arts. Previously, he was chairman and chief executive officer of JAMDAT Mobile, Inc, the leading global publisher of wireless entertainment applications, which was acquired by EA in 2005.
Prior to JAMDAT, Mitch served as general manager of eCompanies Wireless LLC, an Internet business incubator. He also spent five years at Activision, most recently serving as executive vice president of Worldwide Studios. In that role he was responsible for product development, business development and global operations. Earlier in his career, Mitch practiced law, worked at the Walt Disney Company and started a massively multiplayer online game company.
Mitch received his Bachelor of Administration degree in History and Literature from Harvard College and earned a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
MARK ANDERSON
Chief Action Figure / CEO / President
Mark Anderson brings over 20 years of wireless, telecom, Internet and marketing experience to HipLogic. Before joining HipLogic, Anderson served as Vice President, Internet and Media Solutions at Ericsson where he managed the development of Ericssons business with Internet and Media companies. Anderson Joined Ericsson in 2003 as Vice President of Enterprise Business Solutions.
Prior to Ericsson, he was Vice President of Sales at Vialto Corporation leading up to its acquisition by Cisco Systems. Anderson has also held VP of Sales and Business Development roles at Air2Web and Superscape (Glu Mobile). Anderson was an early sales management employee at Polycom leading up to their Initial Public Offering following his early career in advertising with Ketchum.
Mark Anderson received his B.A. in Advertising from San Jose State University and has completed Corporate Executive Business Programs from Duke University.
MARK YOUNG
Disruptive Technologist / CTO / Founder
Mark Young brings extensive experience in mobile device software development, web services, client-server computing and engineering leadership to his role at HipLogic. As co-founder and CTO, Young is responsible for HipLogic's product architecture and implementation.
Prior to founding HipLogic, Young spent five years in Sun Microsystems, Inc.'s (Sun) Consumer and Embedded Technologies division where he was a technical lead in developing Sun's Java 2 Platform, Micro Edition (J2ME) for mobile devices. Young was also a creator and specification lead for Java Specification Request (JSR) 172, which defined APIs that enable web services capabilities on mobile devices. He has presented J2ME technical sessions at several JavaOne Developer Conferences, as well as Cingular's WAVE developer conference.
Prior to that, Young spent several years in Sun's Solaris Software division where he architected the Solaris Management Console(SMC) 2.0—a core component of the Solaris Operating System. The SMC 2.0 is Sun's desktop management solution, providing a pluggable and distributed framework for managing and configuring Solaris system components and continues to be shipped with every copy of Solaris today.
Young received a B.S. in Computer Science from Purdue University, where he conducted undergraduate research in distance learning technologies using distributed computing methods.
NEIL SADARANGANEY
Neil is a General Partner at Bay. Prior to joining the firm, Neil led the product management team responsible for GoodLink wireless email at startup Good Technology. Previously, Neil was part of the founding team at Afara WebSystems, a server startup acquired by Sun Microsystems in 2002. At Sun, Neil led the team that defined the company's next-generation volume server roadmap, based on Afara's Niagara chip technology, today called UltraSparc T1. Earlier, Neil managed the enterprise software business for internet streaming media leader RealNetworks where he oversaw several successful product launches. Neil began his career as a technical consultant at Accenture and IBM Global Services, where he managed large systems integration teams.
Neil holds a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Waterloo and an M.B.A from the Stanford Graduate School of Business
