- What is HipLogic Live?
HipLogic Live is a technology that, once installed on your phone, allows you to run applications that provide you with news, information and other services. HipLogic Live works in parallel with an on-line market place called HipLogic App Store, which allows you to download and install applications.
If you uninstall HipLogic Live, your phone will return to the way it looked and behaved beforehand.
- What phones does HipLogic Live work on?
HipLogic Live current works on Symbian S60 3rd and 5th edition and Windows Mobile 6.0, 6.1 and 6.5 Professional phones and we will soon be releasing an Android version of our social user interface. Some of the phones we currently support include: Symbian S60 3rd and 5th edition and Windows Mobile 6.0, 6.1 and 6.5 Professional phones, Touch Diamond, Touch HD, GM730, G810, i850, i900, i7110, L870, S8910, x1xperia, 5630 XpressMusic, 5530 XpressMusic, 5730 XpressMusic, 6210 Navigator, 6220 Classic, 6650, 6720 Classic, E63, E66, E71, E75, N78, N79, N85, N86, N96, N97, E71x, and 5800 XpressMusic.
If your phone is not in this list, find out if HipLogic Live works on your phone.
- How do I start an application?
You start applications from the HipLogic Live application launcher. From the HipLogic Live home screen, press the right soft key "Apps" and the application launcher will appear. If you have a phone with a touch screen, simply tap on the icon for the application you wish to launch. If you have a non-touch phone, use the Up/Down/Left/Right cursor keys to highlight the icon for the application you wish to start and press the hard SELECT key.
- HipLogic Live cannot reach the network, what do I do?
HipLogic Live will automatically configure itself to use the network that your wireless operator has set up for your phone. If you are unable to access the network or have received a "Data service is unavailable" error message, it may be that your operator's data service is temporarily unavailable. Simply wait for a time and try it again.
If problems persist, make sure that your network access is configured in HipLogic Live's Settings. From the HipLogic Live home screen, select "Settings" from the Options menu. Go into the Network & Data section and make sure that Network Data Connection is set to the appropriate network as defined by your wireless operator.
- I'm having problems suddenly with HipLogic Live, or it has started behaving strangely what should I do?
Many problems with HipLogic Live can be solved by turning the phone's power off and then on again. Find your phone's power button and press it until the phone has powered off. Wait 10 seconds and then press the power button again to turn its power back on.
HipLogic Live will start when the phone has finished its start up process.
- I can't find HipLogic Live on my phone, what should I do?
If you turn your phone off and then on again, HipLogic Live will re-start and come to the foreground. Find your phone's power button and press it until the phone has powered off. Wait 10 seconds and then press the power button again to turn its power back on. HipLogic Live will then restart.
- How do I purchase and install an app?
You can purchase and download an application by using the HipLogic App Store. Once you have purchased an application, the download process will start automatically. To access the HipLogic App Store, you can use either your phone or a computer with an internet connection. To access via your phone, press the right soft key Apps from the HipLogic Live home screen to start the application launcher. Tap on or select the HipLogic App Store icon and the HipLogic App Store will launch. Or on your internet connected computer bring up a browser and go to http://store.hiplogic.com.
Once inside the HipLogic App Store, you can purchase any application by tapping on or selecting the "Get It" button. The applications will automatically start downloading.
